Pangasinan Paralympics set May 2-3
LINGAYEN –The provincial government’s Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) will hold the Pangasinan Paralympics on May 2-3 to promote sports development among differently-abled.
The event will prepare local PWD athletes for the upcoming 7th Philippine Sports for the Differently-Abled (PHILSPADA) National Paralympic Games, a sports event initiated by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) on May 23-31 in Malolos, Bulacan
Team Pangasinan has been a consistent top finisher in national paralympics for the past three years.
The team hauled 15 gold, 16 silver, and 5 bronze medals, making it the overall champion of the 2018 National Paralympic Games on May 11-19, 2018 at the Marikina Sports Complex.
The winners received cash incentives from the provincial government.
Medals will be awarded for athletics, table tennis, badminton, powerlifting, swimming and chess. (PIA/SMDG)
