Labrador lass, “most talented Limgas”

LINGAYEN—The four-part talent
showcase that Gwendoline Meliz F. Soriano from Labrador town presented easily
became the crowd’s and the judges favorite to win the ‘best in talent award’ of
Limgas na Pangasinan 2019 search.
Soriano, a 20 year-old senior mass communications
student of Trinity University Asia, bested 14 other Limgas crown hopefuls during
the pre-pageant held on April 23 at the Sison Auditorium.
A member of a dance troupe in her former school, Soriano showcased her talents
in singing, dancing (standard ballroom – Venice waltz, and contemporary dance –
ballet) and acting.
Soriano earlier bagged the ‘Darling of the Press’ award during the press
presentation held on March 25.
Aside from the talent showdown among the Limgas
candidates, they were also presented during the pre-pageant wearing their
One-Town, One-Product festival costumes.
The winner in the best in festival costume, along with the winners in the
various minor awards will be announced during the pageant and coronation night
on April 30, (7P.M.) at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center Gymnasium.
The 15 Limgas candidates are: Princess Zaira Pascua (Rosales), Jara Padica
(Balungao), Allyson Claire dela Cruz (Bugallon), Patricia Anne Nichole Bangug
(Binmaley), Felice Nicolle Carino (Mangaldan), Elissa Mae Estimada (San
Manuel), Gwendoline Meliz Soriano (Labrador), Janine dela Cruz (Mangatarem),
Charese Immanuelle Asunción (Sual), JM Paragas (Lingayen), Tiffany Munoz
(Asingan), Hazel Louise Anne Goling (Bolinao), Bonna Brexie Molina (Urdaneta
City), Lavinia Albertte Marquez (Dagupan City), and Perla Peabody (Villasis). (PIO/MGNO)
