Prov’l Gov’t acquires 1 mobile clinic bus with gen set and 1 man lift truck

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – The Provincial Government of Pangasinan has acquired vehicles and equipment to fast-track the delivery of public service in Pangasinan.
Governor Amado I. Espino, III led the blessing of the newly-acquired vehicles and equipment which include Mobile Diagnostic and Treatment Clinic Bus, man lift truck and diesel generator set at the Motorpool Compound on March 25.
The mobile clinic bus of the provincial government is equipped with apparatus like digital X-ray machine, laboratory for blood chem, urinalysis, hematology and operating room for minor surgeries.
The said mobile clinic bus is in an addition to the two dental buses of the mobile health caravan of the provincial government, dubbed: “Kalusugan Karaban,” which moves around the province, particularly, in the remote areas since September of 2016 to deliver healthcare services to less-privileged Pangasinenses.
Rommel Cardinoza, Provincial Health Office (PHO) Chief Administrative Officer said that the provincial government aims to further bring medical services closer to the grassroots via the mobile clinic bus.
“Kapag nakitaan natin ng sakit ang isang pasyente, hindi na natin kailangang dalhin sa ospital dahil meron na tayong mobile clinic,” Cardinoza stressed noting that circumcision surgery can also be conducted in the mobile clinic bus of the province.
Provincial Health Officer Anna Ma. Teresa S. De Guzman said that the mobile clinic will also be used in times of disaster.
Following the free consultations administered in Kalusugan Karaban, the mobile clinic will facilitate in conducting diagnostic tests and laboratory examinations.
The provincial government is still anticipating one more mobile clinic bus which will further intensify the healthcare development thrusts of the administration.
It can be learned that the provincial government has earmarked P8.9 million for the man lift truck and P9.7 million for the mobile clinic bus including the 90KVA generator set.
The blessing of vehicles and equipment was officiated by Rev. Fr. Fidelis B. Layog, the new auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan. /Shiella Mae C. De Guzman
