Labrador lass is ‘Darling of the Press’ of Limgas 2019
GWENDOLINE Meliz F. Soriano of Labrador was easily the favorite of local mediamen for the ‘Darling of the Press’ award of the Limgas na Pangasinan 2019 search.
Soriano, a 20 year-old senior mass communication student of Trinity University Asia, bested 14 other Limgas crown hopefuls to win the title during the press presentation held on March 25 at the Pangasinan Training and Development Center, at the Capitol Complex.

Soriano and 14 Limgas candidates were presented during the regular flag-raising ceremony of the provincial government at the Capitol Plaza led by Gov. Amado Espino III and Vice Governor Jose Ferdinand Z. Calimlim, Jr.
The other Limgas candidates are: Princess Zaira Pascua (Rosales), Jara Padica (Balungao), Allyson Claire dela Cruz (Bugallon), Patricia Anne Nichole Bangug (Binmaley), Felice Nicolle Carino (Mangaldan), Elissa Mae Estimada (San Manuel), Janine dela Cruz (Mangatarem), Charese Immanuelle Asunción (Sual), JM Paragas (Lingayen), Tiffany Munoz (Asingan), Hazel Louise Anne Goling (Bolinao), Bonna Brexie Molina (Urdaneta City), Lavinia Albertte Marquez (Dagupan City), and Perla Peabody (Villasis).
Provincial Population, Cooperative, and Livelihood Development Officer Ellsworth Gonzales, Limgas na Pangasinan 2019 event chairperson, said the 15 official Limgas candidates have passed a competitive screening process, which strictly followed the qualification requirements set by the screening committee.
There were 40 applicants in this year’s Limgas search from which the top 15 candidates were selected.
Most-awaited parade of One-Town One-Product inspired festival costumes, and talent showdown of the Limgas candidates are scheduled on April 23, 7PM at the Sison Auditorium.
