Capitol hails PNHS student’s feat
NAT’L SCIENCE FAIR WINNER
LINGAYEN
— The provincial government hails the achievement of a Grade 10 student at the
Pangasinan National High School (PNHS) for winning in the National Science and
Technology Fair (NSTF).
Jeremy Fortaleza, placed 4th (national finalist) under the science, technology
engineering strand, in the science innovation expo – individual category of the
NSTF held at the Tagaytay International Convention Center in Tagaytay City on
February 18-22.
The Sangguniang Panlalawigan in its regular session on March 4 passed a
resolution congratulating Fortaleza who hails from barangay Magtaking,
Bugallon.
“Fortaleza has shown steadfast dedication and commitment to his role as youth
and a student representing the province and the region, not to mention the full
support and fitting guidance of his adviser, department and school heads, and
school administrator,” the provincial resolution reads.
The
winning project of Fortaleza in the NSTF entitled “eTorrent: Portable
Electricity Generating Flexible Free Standing Flood Barrier System” will be
presented and published in an international research journal.
Other
awards received by Fortaleza include: Excellence in Energy Research and
Innovation Award conferred by MERALCO Foundation; and National Champion for the
16th National Science Quest. I (PIO)
