Cong “Boying” delisted as narco-politico
RPOC RECOMMENDATION
BOLINAO–First District Rep. Jesus “Boying” Celeste welcomes a report that his name has been cleared and recommended for delisting by composite government agencies for involvement in illegal drugs.
Celeste, whose name was earlier identified in August 2016 by President Duterte as one of narco-politicians in his list, said he has received a report from the Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) about delisting of his name.
The agencies represented in the committee that recently revalidated the list of drug personalities, previously linked to illegal drugs were the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Armed Forces of the Philippines, National Intelligence Coordinating Agency and the regional office of the Department of Interior and Local Government.
The PUNCH received a copy of a document delisting Celeste’s name.
“I’m innocent of the allegations of involvement in illegal drugs,” Celeste, who is now on his third term, said in an interview. “My conscience is clear from the start and I knew the truth will come out,” he added.
He said the RPOC is the final body tasked to conduct a final investigation for delisting of those found negative of the allegations on drugs.
He chided his detractors who falsely accused him for their failed efforts to pin him down.
“It was like the saying that “You cannot put a good man down” happened to me,” Celeste said. “Perhaps it’s now my accusers who are suffering,” he intoned.
Celeste is is not running for any position in the May 13 elections. (PhilStar Wire Service)
