LINGAYEN — ‘Paskuan ed Kapitolyo’, the first-ever Christmas Village created at the Capitol,  was the main feature in four segments of GMA 7’s Unang Hirit December 5 episode.

The live telecast at GMA’s morning show was like a reprise of the November 28 “curtain-raiser” event of the Capitol Building Centennial Celebration set on December 15.

The morning show’s lovetea,m #Juanchoyce, who hosted the segments at the Capitol ground expressed admiration for the Paskuan Kidiam Lights and Sounds and the Christmas Around-the-World Project of the provincial government.

Among the activities featured included the performance of the provincial government’s Danggoan dancers and Capitol Orchestra dancers, the performance of the University of Luzon Drum and Bugle Corps and the Paskuan Kidiam Lights and Sounds, and buildings  inside the Capitol complex adorned with different country themes.

Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Officer Ma. Luisa A. Elduayan, Provincial Information Officer Orpheus M. Velasco, General Services Officer Evan Gladish P. Domalanta and Special Events Chief Marife P. Acerit were also featured presenting the famous Pangasinan delicacies and products, i.e., Calasiao puto, bangus, bagoong, pigar-pigar and many others.

In the main studio, on the other hand, the anchors—Ivan Mayrina, Connie Sison and Rhea Santos likewise expressed awe on the various highlights.

“Wala po kayong ilalabas kahit piso para mapuntahan ang mga ‘yan at ang projected Christmas lights and sounds display sa Kapitolyo ng Lingayen,” Rhea Santos, one of the anchors  said.

“Bukod sa Christmas around the world experience makikita din sa kanilang festival display ang large-sized Belen (Nativity) at ang 50-ft. Christmas tree,” added Ivan Mayrina.

Gov. Amado I. Espino III encourages Pangasinenses and their visitors to visit the Christmas Village at the Capitol complex to view and enjoy the sights. (PIO/RRB)
