Umingan, Infanta, Basista bets win contests
PROVINCIAL CHILDREN’S CONGRESS
LINGAYEN — Umingan, Infanta, and Basista towns topped the three contests held during the Provincial Children’s Congress (PCC) this year.
Umingan’s bet Yeshua Reign Alambra emerged champion in the “Draw and Tell” contest while Aira Carolino of Bolinao and Princess Sofia De Vera of Lingayen took runners-up places.
Esther Fortes of Infanta won the top plum in the singing contest while runners-up were Precious May Delfin of Villasis, and Marvie Maerylla Belisario of Umingan.
The Basista contingent claimed the top spot in the “One-Town One-Product” dance competition, followed by runners-up San Fabian and Tayug.
Board Member Jerome Vic Espino represented Governor Amado I. Espino, III during the PCC, which capped the provincial celebration of the 26th National Children’s Month observed every November.
He reiterated the provincial government’s commitment to expand activities for youth development programs to promote the welfare of the future of Pangilinan.
BM Jerome Vic, the Sangguniang Kabataan Provincial President, hailed the efforts of the parents and day care workers in working together to mold and to protect the future generation of the province.
The PCC mounted by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office led by Emilio Samson was supported by the Provincial Day Care Workers Federation led by Marvin Bautista. (PIO/MGNO)
