Fire hits San Jacinto ex-mayor’s house

SAN JACINTO—The ancestral house of a former mayor here was razed to the ground on Nov. 1 in Barangay Capaoay this town.

F/Superintendent Eddie Jucutan, provincial fire marshal, said the fire broke out at 4:00 p.m. in the two-story residential house of former Mayor Jose Abarcar.

Firefighters declared fire out at around 7:00 p.m. after it reached second alarm.

The lone occupant, Carlo Abarcar was not around when the fire broke out.

Witnesses said the fire started at the second floor of the house.

No one died or injured in the incident. Damages were initially placed at P3-million.

The cause of the fire is still being established. (PhilStar Wire Service)
