Capitol commends two board topnotchers
LINGAYEN—The provincial government commended the two Pangasinenses who were top finishers in two separate board examinations.
Provincial Resolutions 1952-2018 and 1954-2018, both sponsored by Board Member Nestor D. Reyes, hailed Ferren M. Velasco (8th place) in Electronics Engineering and Von Zedrick B. Cruz (10th place) in Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 2018 licensures.
Velasco was a product of the Provincial Scholarship Program, one of the components of the provincial government’s youth development thrust which aimed to help and support poor and deserving Pangasinenses achieve education.
A consistent honor student, Velasco finished the degree of Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering (magna cum laude) at the Colegio de Dagupan.
Velasco who hails from Barangay Tonton in Lingayen town, is the daughter of Mr. Fernando R. Velasco and Mrs. Anita M. Velasco.
On the other hand, Cruz graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (magna cum laude) at the Kingfisher School of Business and Finance in Dagupan City.
Cruz is the son of Mr. Marco Antonio P. Cruz and Mrs. Myra Butch B. Cruz of Barangay Libsong East also in Lingayen town. (PIO/RRB)
