Teachers, DepEd officials join, Zumba exercise, fun run
THE employees and officials of Department of Education (DepEd) Dagupan and all public school teachers and students joined the “Takbo Para Sa Guro” fun run on September 29.
The fun run spearheaded by the Bonuan Boquig National High School saw the participation of some 5,000 runners.
A Zumba dance exercise was held at CSI Stadia helipad before the start of the 1K, 2K, 3K and 5K distances along the De Venecia Highway Extension.
The fun run was conducted by the Schools Division Office (SDO) Dagupan through Dagupan City Public Schools Teachers and Employees Association (DCPSTEA).
The activities were part of the annual health and medical support for all teachers.
“Takbo Para Sa Guro” was the second major activity held in celebration of the World and National Teachers’ Day Celebration following its kick off ceremony on September 20.
The culminating activity of World Teacher’s Day Celebration was held at the CSI Stadia on October 3, where SDO Dagupan’s ISO 9001:2015 certification given by the World Certifying Body will be formally awarded to their office. (CIO/VDV)
