PDRRMO reports initial damages

THE Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (PDRRMC) updated the provincial government with initial tally of losses and damages caused by Typhoon Ompong

PDRRMC chief Rhodyn Oro reported that damage to :

  • Provincial roads, P22,420,000; provincial bridges, 2 P9,025,000; provincial buildings and other facilities P1,350,000; Barangay roads, P1,075,000; barangay bridges, P200,000; flood control, P18,254,000; Barangay School buildings, P260,000; and other facilities, P52,896.
  • Agriculture: Palay P1,524,343,636.92 from damaged 52,602 hectares in 46 LGU’s; Fish from  36,034 hectares in 11 LGU’s initially P18,699,000; Assorted vegetables: mango (7,716 trees), banana (9,286 hills), 676 papaya trees,( 2,135 metric tons), from 25 LGUs, P105,695,095.42 estimated damages or a partial / unofficial total damages as of September 25 is P1,649,008,592.

The number of houses damaged in 29 municipalities have reached to 4,696 or 371 totally damaged houses.

The Provincial Agriculture Office already sent 12,000 bags of palay as “palit binhi” to the affected by typhoon. (Nora Dominguez)
