10 drug pushers fall in buy-bust operations

LINGAYEN–Five more drug pushers were arrested by the police in separate drug buy-bust operations in seven towns in Pangasinan last week, the Police Provincial Police Office (PPPO) reported.

In Bayambang, Philip Iglesias, 42, a tricycle driver and a former drug surrenderer, fell in a buy-bust operation conducted by the police, in coordination with PDEA in Barangay Alingan, Bayambang on September 25. The suspect handed one heat-sealed plastic sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover law enforcer, after receiving the marked money of P500 bill.

In Sta Maria town, Albert Dotimas, 45, a tricycle driver and a resident of Sitio Malasen, Barangay Canarem, Natividad, was arrested in buy-bust operation in Barangay San Vicente. He sold one sachet of shabu to an undercover policeman who paid him two P100 bills in  marked money.

In Anda, Tyson Caabay, 32, was arrested in buy-bust operations after selling one plastic sachet of dried marijuana leaves to a police poseur-buyer. He was arrested after receiving three P100 bills in marked money from an undercover policeman.

In Calasiao, John-John Solis, 22, laborer, was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Ambonao, after selling one sachet of shabu for P500 to an undercover policeman. Also arrested in a search warrant operation was Jesus Dismaya, alias “Jason”, 32, of Sitio Diolazo, Barangay Quesban from whom lawmen seized five small sachets of shabu, three pieces of lighter and two aluminum foils.

In Malasiqui, arrested at Gomez Street in Poblacion, Malasiqui was Nhomar Carpizo, 18 of Barangay Bobon, an identified drug personality in the town. He sold shabu for P500 to an undercover police operative. Also arrested in Barangay Tambac was Moises Andaya, a drug personality, 40, who was arrested when he sold one sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover policeman.

In Alaminos City, Angelo Navarro, 20; and Alexander Oviedo, both from Dagupan City, were arrested by the police in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Cabatuan. Seized from them were four plastic sachets of shabu, one P1,000 bill used as buy-bust money, two P100 bills, one P50 bill, one opened plastic sachet containing a yellow substance, a Nokia cellphone and a motorized tricycle without a plate number.

In Urdaneta City, Allan Samson, a newly identified drug personality and a waiter/bouncer of a beer house in Barangay Nancayasan, fell in a drug buy-bust operation when he sold one sachet of shabu worth P500 to a customer who turned out to be a police poseur-buyer.

All the arrested suspects were charged with violation of Section 5, Article II of Republic Act Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Anti-Drug  Act 0f 2002. (Leonardo Micua)
