6 arrested in drug operations in 4 towns

LINGAYEN—Six drug personalities, among them two women were arrested in separate anti-drug operations conducted by the police on September 19 in three different towns in Pangasinan.

Arrested in Rosales was Lilia Sanchez , alias “Lilia Casasiempre”, 40, a newly emerged drug personality, after she was served a search warrant by joint elements of the Rosales Police, led by Chief Inspector John Corpuz, chief of police, and of the Provincial Mobile Force 2nd Company.

Found in her house were five sachets of shabu and P31,987 cash in different denominations.

In Urdaneta City, two were arrested. One was Eloisa Marie Pino, alias “Yuri”, 20, residing in Barangay Dilan-Paurido, considered as a new drug personality. She was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by the police in Urdaneta City after she sold one sachet of shabu to an undercover cop.

The other, John Paul Azuela of Ambiong, 18-year old, was caught en flagrante in possession of one sachet of dried marijuana leaves and an improvised pipe/ tooter, when the Urdaneta City Police were conducting Oplan Rudy in Barangay Bayaoas at about 12:10 a.m., on September 19.

Azuela was with a group of men when accosted by the police for drinking liquor in public, a violation of a city ordinance.

All the suspects tried to escape and when cornered, Azuela tossed a small sachet containing dried marijuana to the ground but it was spotted by a Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) personnel.

In Tayug, two were arrested. Michael Angelo Antonio, 28, a tricycle driver of Barangay Alac San Quintin, was nabbed in buy-bust operations in Barangay Magallanes. Seized from him were two sachets of shabu and P500 marked money.

The other, one Jonathan Garcia, also known as Jonathan Junio, and Jayson Poquita,  persons who were accosted by the San Jacinto Police for allegedly pressuring a businessman to buy a truck at a low price, was eventually arrested after he was found to have a sachet of shabu in his pocket.

In Lingayen, Arthur Layson,  51, a houseboy and a resident  of Barangay  Balococ and former surrenderer was also arrested in a buy-bust operation after selling one sachet of shabu to an undercover agent of the Drug Enforcement Team of the Lingayen Police.  He surrendered as user and pusher in 2016.
