Drug pushers arrested in Dagupan, Aguilar
A SUSPECTED drug peddler in Barangay Pantal, Dagupan City was arrested when joint elements of the police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 1 implemented a search warrant in her house and premises on June 26.
The suspect was identified as Arminda Damaso y Yuson, who is also known as Arminda Yuson y Veloria, of Maramba Village, Arellano Bani in Pantal, Dagupan City.
The search warrant was implemented by elements of the Provincial Investigation Branch (PIB) and other units of the PNP in coordination with PDEA Region 1.
Seized from her house were 15 transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu, two pieces of lighter, seven aluminum foils, a weighing scale, two improvised straw scoops, one improvised stick sealer, and nine unused transparent plastic sachets.
A case for violation of Republic Act 9165 was filed against the suspect.
Meanwhile, a newly identified drug pusher was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by lawmen on June 26 in Barangay Tampac, Aguilar town along the Pangasinan-Tarlac Highway.
The buy-bust operation led to the arrest of one Erwin Santos, 34, a tricycle driver and a resident of Barangay Magsaysay, Labrador.
The buy-bust operation was conducted in coordination with PDEA RO1 and Prosecutor Jeffrey Catungal of the Prov’l Prosecutor’s Office.
A case for violation of Sec. 5, Article 2 of Republic Act No. 9165 (Selling of Dangerous Drugs) is now being readied for filing in court against the suspect. (Leonardo Micua)
