Capitol names 2018 scholars
THE provincial government has named 151 new scholars under the “academically highly competent group” of the Provincial Scholarship Program.
The new set includes 24 automatic qualifiers valedictorians and salutatorians of senior high schools and 127 who made the cut of scholarship grant entitlement via topping the PSP qualifying examination.
Chief Administrative Officer Irmina Francisco, PSP Management, Evaluation and Excellence Committee (PSPMEEC) chairperson, said each scholar will receive a grant of Php8,000 per semester or Php16,000 per year from the provincial government.
The scholars received their checks from Gov. Amado Espino III at the Sison Auditorium on May 30.

Aldana NHS – Laoac), Judy Eslabra (Bautista NHS), Marvin Castro (Speaker Eugenio Perez National Agricultural School – San Carlos City), Genesis De Florencia (PASS College – Alaminos), Maricel Bautista (Daniel Maramba NHS – Sta. Costales Memorial NHS – Villasis), Frances Marella Cristobal (Colegio De Dagupan), Janelle Mae Santos (Colegio De Dagupan), Erica Dacanay (Mangaldan NHS), Cathleen Mae Viray (Pangasinan NHS), Shiela Mae Abache (Urbiztondo NHS), and Merman Padilla (Malasiqui Agno Valley College).
PSP qualifying exam results were released on June 4.
