SP OKs use of PCF for pavilion construction
THE Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) of Dagupan has authorized the use of the P2.4 million Performance Challenge Fund (PCF) won by the city as last year’s recipient of the Seal of Local Good Government for the construction of the Mayor’s Pavilion at Tondaligan Park in Bonuan.
The PCF is being administered by the Department of the Interior and Local Government in collaboration with the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).
Councilor Jose Netu Tamayo said there is a need to construct the Mayor’s Pavilion to boost the tourism potential of Tondaligan Park.
Tondaligan Park is being transformed into a major tourist destination that will soon to be teeming with water sports facilities for domestic and foreign tourists.
He said the park needs a pavilion to host public and private events. (Leonardo Micua)
