Bishop nabbed for estafa, falsification of documents

ROSALES—A bishop of a Born Again Christian religious group was arrested on March 7 for estafa and falsification of private documents in his temporary residence in Villa Sto. Tomas in Barangay San Marcos, Sto. Tomas town.

Rosales town police chief, P/Chief Inspector Ador Tayag said arrested was Hernando Bruce, 56, married, a resident of Barangay Palakipak, Rosales.

He was nabbed based on two warrants of arrest: one issued on Feb. 15, 2018 by Acting Presiding Judge Jacinto dela Cruz Jr. of the Regional Trial Court Branch 53 in Rosales for estafa with recommended bail bond of P40,000, and the other issued on Feb. 20, 2018 by Presiding Judge Alta Grace Briones of the Municipal Trial Court of Rosales for five criminal cases, for falsification of private documents with P12,000 recommended bail bond each for his temporary liberty.
