15,404 drug personalities complete rehab
OUT OF 20,401 SURRENDEREES
SEVENTY-five percent (or 15,404) of the 20,401 drug personalities in Pangasinan who surrendered to the police since the war on drugs was launched by President Rodrigo Duterte in July 2016 have undergone and completed the community-based rehabilitation program (CBRP) in their towns/cities.
This was indicated in the data as of March 19 this year released by the Police Community Relations Branch of the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office.
The four cities (Dagupan, Urdaneta, San Carlos and Alaminos) recorded the highest number of drug personalities that surrendered.
Only all the drug personalities in Alaminos City, Laoac and Natividad completed the CBRPs in their towns and city.
The towns and city with lowest percentage of rehabilitation are San Quintin (5%), Umingan (21%), Dagupan City (23%), Labrador (24%) and Sison (27%),

P/Chief Inspector Norman Florentino, PCR chief, said other drug personalities are still completing the CBRP.
Meanwhile, Bismarck Bengwayan, PDEA Region 1 public information officer, confirmed that there were more than twenty barangay officials in Pangasinan who were involved in illegal drugs and were among the drug personalities who surrendered and undergone community based rehabilitation program.
Still there were also some who were arrested in buy-bust operations.
The CBRP includes faith-based program (led by the religious sector), moral recovery program, education and health lectures, psychological assessment by the DOH, mandatory drug tests, livelihood training program.
To maintain a drug free community, the PNP, DILG and PDEA empowered the the Barangay Anti Drug Advisory Councils to monitor and regularly visit the drug reformists in their respective villages to ensure a drug-free community, Bengwayan said. (Nora Dominguez)
