Prov’l board OKs 5-year Local Road Network Dev’t Plan

LINGAYEN — The Sanggunian Panlalawigan unanimously approved Provincial Resolution No. 1217-2018 entitled “Approving the Local Road Network Development Plan (LRNDP) for Calendar Years 2018-2022 of the Province of Pangasinan.”

Authored by Board Member Napoleon C. Fontelera, Jr., chairman the committee on infrastructure, public services and utilities, the resolution directed local government units to prepare their LRNDP in order to participate in the Conditional matching Grant to Provinces (CMGP) for road repair, rehabilitation and improvement of the Department of the Interior and Local Government.

The CGMP is a program of the national government that funds local roads that is performance-based downloading of fund program sent to the provincial government upon completion of various requirements for the rehabilitation, improvement and upgrading of provincial roads.

According to Provincial Engineer Antonietta Delos Santos, the province is set to receive over P75 million this year as funding for two identified road line projects namely: Balungao-Sta. Maria Road and Bani-Mabini Road. (RRB, PIO)
