One dead, 10 injured in vehicle collision
ONE died while ten were injured in the head-on collision between a Honda Jazz and Besta Kia Van along Bolosan District in Dagupan City.
Police investigation showed the Honda Jazz with plate number VEM 577, driven by Genaro Manuelito Gonzales Jr., retired government employee, was heading towards city proper while the Besta Kia Van with plate number ULG 586, driven by Jimmy Bravo, was heading towards Mangaldan collided when the later overtook a pedicab as the Honda car approached.
Both vehicles turned-turtle in the middle of the road.
Marciana Gonzales, 63, government employee and passenger of the Honda Jazz was declared dead in the hospital while both drivers and all the eight passengers of the van, all of whom are relatives of Bravo, namely, Mylene Bravo, 24, Rhiana Cayabyab Bravo, 4, Jayson Bravo, 30, Ginalyn Bravo, 30, Shiela Mae Bravo, 8, John Gabriel Bravo, 7, Jake Bravo, 5, and Kyle Angelo Buscas Bravo, 7, all from Barangay Osiem in Mangaldan, suffered minor injuries.
A case of homicide, serious physical injury and damage to property was filed against Jimmy Bravo.
CDRRMO and Dagupan PNP responded in the said incident. (Nora Dominguez)
