PACUCOA cites VMUF for Level III programs

SAN CARLOS CITY — The Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) will present academic awards to Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation (VMUF) for being the first Institution to have Level III Programs Reaccredited Status in the entire Region 1.

PACUCOA chairman Dr. Jaime M. Buzar said VMUF is the first institution in Region 1 to have a Level III BS Biology; Master of Science in Teaching and Master of Public Health programs. The programs hold the distinction of being the first accredited programs in Region 1 with Level III status.

The awards will be presented during the celebration of the 44th founding year of the PACUCOA and 28th Annual General Assembly to be held in Pasay City on December 1, 2017.

PACUCOA has accepted and approved the accrediting team’s recommendation last September this year that the university’s science program (BS Biology); Arts Programs (Political Science, Psychology and English); Nursing Program; Master of Science in Teaching and Master in Public Health programs of the Graduate School; Bachelor of Secondary Education and Bachelor of Elementary Education programs were granted Level III Reaccredited Status.

In 2004, the VMUF was cited by PACUCOA as one of the top 10 institutions with the most number of accredited programs (Category A). (NCC)
