Oplan “Huli” Day nabs 11 wanted men during “Undas”

LINGAYEN—Crime suspects were dead wrong to think that police operatives in Pangasinan took days off during the period of “Undas” to visit their departed kin in cemeteries.

Eleven unsuspecting suspects found out the hard way when the operatives jumped on them separately in different towns for Oplan Huli Day on ‘All Saints’ Day’ and ‘All Souls Day’.

The Pangasinan Police Provincial Office said the operation was launched knowing fully well that wanted persons also come out of their hiding to visit the tombs of their dead departed kin.

Those arrested had standing warrants of arrest issued by various courts in Pangasinan against them but could not be served because the suspects were hard to find.

Arrested on November 2 was Modesto Calizar Jr. of Burgos for the crime of robbery with homicide with no bail recommended.

Others arrested on the same day were Zaldy Casingal, 45, of Salavante, Urbiztondo, 21, for perjury; Jomar Caballes of Burgos, for robbery; and Johnny Migo, 30, of Dasol, for violation of Section 68 of Presidential Decree No. 705 as amended;

Also arrested on Nov, 2 were Apolonio Migano, 49, of Alaminos City, for violation of Section 261 (q) of OEC and Section 32 of Republic Act No. 7166; Sherwin Parajas, 37, of Bued, Calasiao, for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and damage to properties; Jackilou Layacan, 36, for theft.

Arrested ni Cabiao, Nueva Ecija on Nov. 1 was Ricardo Redulfin, 59, of Sta. Maria town who was charged with rape; Danny Cabrales, 22 of Sual, for robbery with homicide with no recommended bail; Richard Migo, 32, of Dasol, for violation of Section 68 of PD 705 as amended; and Arnold Velasco, of Alaminos City for the crime of illegal fishing with the use of explosives.
