NGCP scholarship application deadline: Nov 15

THE National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has started accepting applications for its Educational Assistance for Tertiary Edification (EDUCATE) program. Deadline for filing of application is Nov. 15.

Melma Batario, NGCP public affairs officer of NGCP, said the scholarship is open to  first year to third year college students (not a graduate of any degree program) and taking up any four-year course or Electrical Engineering program at NGCP’s partner state university and college (SUC).

Batario said 23 slots are available for Pangasinan students 159 slots are available for north Luzon applicants.

Applicants must have a general weighted average of not lower than 80 percent, has no existing scholarship grant from other organization or company, should be a resident of a community specified by NGCP that hosts its transmission line/s and other facilities, and has parents with annual gross income that does not exceed P300,000.00, Batario told the Philippine Information Agency (PIA).

Application forms are available at Pangainan State University (Student Services and Alumni Affairs Office).

Scholarship will cover full subsidy in tuition fee, monthly living allowance, and book allowance in their remaining years in their undergraduate studies. (PIA-1, Pangasinan)
