THE Department of Trade and Industry Regional and Provincial Office has officially opened the Negosyo Center at the ground floor of municipal building of Calasiao.

DTI’s Regional Director Florante Leal and Provincial Director Peter Mangabat signed signed the memorandum of agreement with Mayor Joseph Arman Bauzon as partners in operating the Negosyo Center.

Leal said, the center will serve as a one-stop shop for those who will open a business for easy processing of business permits saving applicants the trip to DTI Provincial Office in Dagupan.

The Negosyo Center in Calasiao is the 12th that opened in Pangasinan and the 39th in the region.

Republic Act 10644 mandates that all towns in the Philippines should have a Negosyo Center to develop the country side in establishing more businesses.

Leal said with the establishment of the center, more businesses will be expected to open and thereby create employment opportunities in the countryside.

Aside from the assistance in providing business permits, the center is also ready to provide free consultancy for those who want to open a business as well as ready to accept complaints.

Mayor Bauzon said the Negosyo Center will be a boon to his town local employment opportunities. (Nora Dominguez)
