Drug personalities shot by hitmen riding-in-tandem

LINGAYEN–Four drug personalities have been shot since September 1, records of the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) show.

Investigation showed all were perpetrated by unidentified armed men riding in tandem.

The latest victim, Angelo Palsi, 32, a newly identified drug pusher of Barangay Rizal, San Carlos City, was shot on September 7 at 11:55 p.m. along Roxas Boulevard in San Carlos City. He was shot several times in his body by unidentified suspects riding on a motorcycle while driving his car.

He was rushed to the Pangasinan Doctors Hospital in San Carlos City but later on transferred to a hospital in Dagupan City for further treatment.

Scene of the Crime Investigators (SOCO) found two empty shells of Cal. 9mm pistol and one empty shell of Cal. 45 pistol from the crime scene.

They also recovered three heat-sealed transparent sachets of methamphetamine hydrochloride, one tooter with shabu residue, one magazine for Cal. 45 pistol with seven ammunition, three tins of engine oil, cash and others from the car of the victim.

Another victim was Noel Movida, 34, a furniture shop owner/maker, of Brgy. Banaoang, Mangaldan, identified as a former drug surrenderee.

He was shot in Buenlag, Mangaldan on September 6 by still unidentified suspects. He was rushed by his brother to the Mangaldan Infirmary but later transferred to a hospital in Dagupan City for further treatment.

Recovered from the scene were five fired cartridge cases of Cal. 45, one slug of same caliber. Motive of the incident is yet to be determined.

Shot to death on Ambrosio Street in Urdaneta City at about 6:20 a.m. of September 5 was Jonathan Piano, alias “Dugol”, tagged as an alleged drug pusher.

However, a stray bullet hit the foot of Joseph Mendoza, alias “Urok”, 42, a street sweeper, of Barangay Tipuso, Urdaneta City.

Investigation showed, the gunmen were on board two motorcycles, two men on each. One of them alighted and shot the victim. point-blank.

Nine empty shells and seven slugs of Caliber 45 pistol were found from the crime scene.

Meanwhile, Aristotle Doria, a native of Fairview, Quezon City,35, described as a drug personality on the watch list was shot dead in front of his common-law wife and their two children inside their rented house in Purok Silaw, Barangay Domanpot, Asingan on September 4.

Doria had a case for violation of Section 11 of Republic Ac t 9165 for sale and possession of illegal drugs.

The victim and his family were watching television in their living room when the suspects barged in and shot Doria. The gunmen boarded two waiting motorcycles and sped away.

Meanwhile, Salvador Solomon, 21, of Zone 7, Sitio Lico in Barangay Yatyat, in Urdaneta City was shot and wounded of September 3 at the boundary of Barangay Yatyat, Laoac, Pangasinan and Barangay Camantiles, Urdaneta City.

Solomon was shot in different parts of his body by unidentified armed men.

No fired cartridge nor bullet was found by the police from the crime scene. (Leonardo Micua)
