The school is located in a remote area about seven kilometers away from the national highway where sightings of New People’s Army activities were reported.
The 3rd Maneuver Company based in Dasol is situated in Barangay Hermosa here.
P/Sr. Inspector Darwin Guerrero, chief of Police Community Relations of RPSB1, said the project was launched this year to bring police service closer to the community.
Last August, Barangay Eguia this town was also a beneficiary of RPSB1’s Adopt-A-Library.
Okubo said the project seeks to develop community assistance and development activities in threatened barangays here “in order to bridge the gap of undelivered government services, and to strengthen police presence and influence in order to deny and counter terrorists/communist terrorists from gaining mass support.”
Garcia thanked RPSB1 for bringing their project to their school making the community closer to government. (Eva Visperas)
