Ubo Patrol in Dagupan City
THE Dagupan City Health Office will launch on Monday, August 21 it’s Ubo Patrol to extend medical assistance for Dagupenos suffering from cough to avoid the spread of an infection from an ordinary cough to the contagious tuberculosis.
Dr. Ophelia Rivera, City Health Officer said, the Ubo Patrol will be launched in Barangay Malued.
After the launching, medical teams of CHO with the help of Barangay Health Workers will look for residents suffering from colds and those suspected of being positive with tuberculosis.
Rivera said, an untreated TB is highly contiguous but curable with proper medicines.
The primary causes of deaths in Dagupan are non-communicable diseases like hypertension, cancer and cardiovascular diseases. TB is 8th cause of deaths in the city. (Nora Dominguez)
