SP commends OPVet for quarantine measures

LINGAYEN–The provincial board commended the Office of the Provincial Veterinarian (OPVet) for its quick response to the announced outbreak of avian flu in Pampanga.

Provincial Veterinarian Eric Perez was hailed for immediately implementing strict quarantine measures in all entry points to Pangasinan and helped prevent panic in Pangasinan, especially among the poultry raisers and chicken meat consumers.

Fourth District Board Member Jeremy Agerico Rosario said the efforts exerted by Perez immediately after Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel Piñol announced the outbreak of avian flu in San Luis, Pampanga is commendable. (Leonardo Micua)
