LINGAYEN- -The Sangguniang Panlalawigan approved on May 29 Resolution No. 729-2017 entitled “An Act Providing For The Improvement of The 54-Kilometer Road Located In Brgy. Muelang, Mangatarem, Province of Pangasinan to Brgy. Guisguis, Sta. Cruz, Province of Zambales and Declaring It As A National Road To Be Known As The Daang Kalikasan National Road and Appropriating Funds Therefor.”

Authored by SP Member Raul P. Sison, the resolution endorsed House Bill No. 5163 filed in Congress by 2^nd District Rep. Leopoldo N. Bataoil last February 28.

The resolution noted “the said unclassified road necessitates concreting and massive improvement considering that it is used by most vehicles for being the shorter passable road between the Provinces of Pangasinan and Zambales.”

The SP resolution also cited the Bataoil bill as “very timely and is for the best interest not only of the travelers or riding public passing through the proposed national road but more so for the economic and collective contentment of the people of Pangasinan and Zambales.” (PIO/RRB)
