Dekada 2007-2017 wins Parada Dekada Float crown

FLOAT Dekada 2007-2017 of the Dagupan City National High School (DCNHS) was adjudged the best float during the city’s “Parada na Dekada” to celebrate the 70th year anniversary, on June 20.
“Parada na Dekada” one of the major events in the city’s Platinum Year celebration, featured different floats depicting the seven centuries the city had gone through from 1947-1957, 1957-1967, 1967-1977, 1977-1987, 1987-1997, 1997-2007, 2007-2017.
DCNHS won the P20,000 cash prize and another P10,000 for being adjudged ‘most disciplined Secondary Dekada 2007-2017 float.’
The P10,000.00 cash prize for the best presentation award was won by Elementary Dekada 2018 and Beyond.
Each decade was represented by the different clustered barangays with the special participation of DCNHS representing the 7th decade.
Each decade presented a dance number backed by the music that was popular during that particular decade.
Mayor Belen T. Fernandez led the dance along with the different department heads and employees of the city and the young city officials, “Manlingkor Ya Kalangweran”. (Joseph C. Bacani/CIO)
