Human cross formed for PRC’s 70th year
LINGAYEN – Over five thousand volunteers in red bandanas joined the Philippine Red Cross Pangasinan Chapter’s 70th anniversary on May 22, at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center.
Led by Florame S. Magalong, PRC Dagupan Chapter Administrator, they even formed the I AM HUMANITY @70 human cross.
Vice Governor Ferdinand Calimlim, lauding the support extended by volunteers, each individual to be part of PRC’s event, said the act signifies the heart of each member of the community to be there for others similar to the provincial government’s efforts for its constituents.
Magalong said the Pangasinan Chapter, one of the 15 pioneer chapters inaugurated outside the National Headquarters in Manila in 1947, will always be first, always ready, and always there. The successful event showcased how volunteerism is the strong force behind the stronger Philippines. (PIO)
