2 men die in drowning incidents in Bolinao, Pozorrubio
BOLINAO — Two persons died in separate drowning incidents in Bolinao and Pozorrubio towns on April 30.
Joel Solon, 49, employee of Cosmo Fortune Corp. based in Taguig City, who drowned at the coastal water of Barangay Patar, Bolinao, was declared dead on arrival at Rillera Medical Hospital in Bolinao where his co-employees brought him.
Meanwhile, Jessie Ruiz, 28, construction worker and resident of Bancao, Tuba, Benguet drowned in a river in Pozorrubio after having a drinking spree with his brother and a friend.
Ruiz, then under the influence of liquor, jumped into the deep part of the river and failed to resurface. His body was retrieved hours later by companions of the victim and residents in the area who helped searched the area.
Ruiz was pronounced dead on arrival at the Pozorrubio Community Hospital. (Tita Roces)
