Pangasinan eyes Clark’s sanitary landfill for its wastes
LINGAYEN—The provincial government is eyeing the Metro Clark Waste Management Corporation’s sanitary landfill facility for the disposal of the province’s residual wastes.
In an approved resolution Monday, the provincial board acknowledged that Pangasinan continuously generates, recycles and hauls residual solid wastes and is in need of a sanitary landfill facility as final disposal for such residual solid wastes from households and business establishments.
Metro Clark Waste Management Corporation, manages and operates an engineered sanitary landfill in accordance with Republic Act 9003 at the Clark Integrated Waste Management Center located at Subzone D, Clark Special Economic Zone.
The provincial board authorized Gov. Amado Espino III to enter into an agreement with the Metro Clark Waste Management Corporation, represented by its president, Rufo Colayco, the resolution said. (Tita Roces)
