Gov. Pogi hails 4 Pangasinenses for nat’l feats

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan- – -Gov. Amado I. Espino III commended four Pangasinenses who recently gained national recognitions in different fields by presenting the Sangguniang Panlalawigan resolutions which were crafted by the provincial board for them during the regular flag-raising ceremony on March 20.
The four Pangasinenses who were given plaques were 2nd Lt. Shiela Marie C. De Guzman, Arnold Joseph O. Geronimo, Gen. Reynaldo G. Biay and Police Director Roel Barcena Obusan.
De Guzman, who hails from Manaoag town and the daughter of Ret. Col. Fernando de Guzman, graduated as rank 7 in the PMA “Salaknib” Class of 2017 while Geronimo placed 5th in the 2017 Medical Technologist board examination.
On the other hand, Gen. Reynaldo G. Biay and Police Director Roel Barcena Obusan, also received plaques from the Governor for their recent promotions. Biay, who hails from Mangaldan, is now the PNP Deputy Regional Director for Administration while Obusan, a native of Laoac town, now serves as director of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG).
Meanwhile, another Pangasinense by the name of Renz Michael Hart V. Bautista has been cited by the provincial board on its March 20 regular session for successfully passing the 2017 Medical Technologist board examination with flying colors by placing 7th.
Board Member Jeremy Agerico B. Rosario, main sponsor of Provincial Resolution No. 602-2017 which congratulates Bautista said the three young Pangasinenses deserve commendations as they set an excellent example to their generation who also aspire to become successful in their own fields.
As such, Vice Governor Jose Ferdinand Z. Calimlim, Jr. noted the provincial board will keep giving citations on Pangasinenses who will bag remarkable achievements in their respective fields of endeavor.
Bautista, who graduated from the Saint Louis University in Baguio City, is set to receive his plaque of recognition from the Governor next week. (Ruby R. Bernardino)
