LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – The first Pangasinan Umaani Expo, an agri-industrial exhibit and trade fair opens on March 28 in Tebag, Sta. Barbara to showcase new technologies and farming systems.
Provincial Agriculturist Dalisay Moya, said the Agribusiness Forum series of forum during the five-day Umaani Expo will provide the avenue for exchanges of best agricultural practices in support to the agro-industrial development thrust being pushed by Governor Amado I. Espino, III and offers an opportunity for agricultural stakeholders to level up in their agricultural productivity and modern farming strategies.
She said, on March 28, Tuesday, also the Umaani Women’s Day, will be highlighted by the ribbon cutting and blessing of the agri-industrial and trade fair, awarding of agricultural training certificates to graduates of mushroom production, silage production, food processing, tilapia culture and bangus deboning as well as the recognition of Umaani partner organizations to be led by Governor Espino.
Invited as guest of honor and speaker during the Umaani opening ceremony is Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel Piñol.
Other activities include Agew na Umaaniy Pagey, Agew na Umaanid Tanaman, sangka-balegan (pinakamalaki) tan sangka-dukeyan (Dinaka) contests, Agew na Sumisigay tan Manag-ayep, Pagalaw Parad Sumisigay, Lumbay Alama.
