Pangasinan PNP’s new priorities

EVEN as the police have been ordered to desist from conducting activities in the war on drugs, the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) clarified that it will continue to accept the surrender of drug personalities and who in turn will be endorsed to the Barangays/Municipal and City Drugs Abuse Councils.

PPPO Deputy Provincial Director P/Supt. Jackie Candelario pointed this out during the KBP forum last Thursday, February 2, 2017.

With the drug operations no longer its priority, the Pangasinan police will intensify its counter-intelligence efforts to zero in on police scalawags while focusing on major crimes against persons and properties.

These include murder, homicide, robbery, theft, carnapping, motornapping and others that require policemen to be on the streets most of the times and to maintain police presence in places where these crimes are likely to occur. (Leonardo Micua)
