The League of Municipalities in the Philippines (LMP) – Pangasinan Chapter now under the leadership of newly-installed president, Laoac Mayor Silverio D. Alarcio, Jr., assured all-out support to the present provincial administration.

ESPINO III

“We emphasize our commitment to support the administration of Governor Amado ‘Pogi’ I. Espino, III for the good of Pangasinan. The second induction of LMP reiterates our full support to the governor,” said Mayor Alarcio, who was sworn-in as LMP – Pangasinan’s new president during the induction ceremony which was administered by Governor Espino at the Capitol Resort Hotel, here, on February 7.

Alarcio succeeded former LMP president, Binalonan Mayor Ramon V. Guico, III, who stepped down from his post.

ALARCIO

LMP first vice president, Dasol Mayor Eric Versoza was elevated to the executive vice president post, following the rule of succession. Binmaley Mayor Simplicio Rosario, LMP’s 2nd district vice president, was also inducted.

Elated over the overwhelming support of Governor Espino to the LMP, Alarcio said Gov. Pogi supports the LMP as he is well-aware of the challenges of a local chief executive having served as a three-termer mayor of Bautista town.

Ang pag-iisip, puso at kilos namin ay magkatulad. We have a common language,” Alarcio said.

Meanwhile, Governor Espino urged the LMP to set aside politics in dispensing their duties as public servants as he urged them to support his projects and advocacies for the welfare of Pangasinenses.

“There must be a ‘neutral ground’ when we talk about the development of our province and your respective localities,” he said.

LMP officers present during the induction were: Rosales Mayor Susan Casareno (sub-secretary), Calasiao Mayor Joseph Arman Bauzon (sub-treasurer), Malasiqui Mayor Noel Anthony Geslani (press relations officer), Sual Mayor Roberto Arcinue (vice president – 1st district), Bautista Mayor Amadeo Espino (vice president – 5th district) and Asingan Mayor Heidee Chua (vice president – 6th district).
