THE Land Transportation Office (LTO) has started releasing drivers’ licenses but motor vehicle plate numbers are still on hold.

Daniel Martinez, chief of the LTO in Urdaneta City, however, said only applications for drivers license in Region I filed on or before November 4, 2016 have been processed.

The licenses with a three -year validity period are now available in all LTO offices in Pangasinan. “We print as they (claimants) come,” Martinez told the KBP Forum on Thursday.

Those who applied on or after November 7, 2016, can claim their licenses by April. The new licenses have a five-year validity period and costs P575.

Motor vehicle plates remain on hold because of a temporary restraining order (TRO) from the Supreme Court. (PIA-Pangasinan/ VHS)
