Four more traffic lights up in Dagupan

FOUR more traffic lights will be installed by the Dagupan City government in four other major intersections in the city in line with the continuing efforts of Mayor Belen Fernandez to help eliminate gridlocks in the city, especially during the rush hours.

Fernandez said it will be the second phase of the installation of traffic lights project.

The first phase covered the installation of traffic light at the intersections of A.B. Fernandez Avenue, M.H. del Pilar and Arellano Streets, at the corner of A.B. Fernandez Avenue and Rizal Street, the corner of Perez Boulevard and Rizal Street, corner of Perez Boulevard, intersection of Guilig and Burgos and Guiling streets; and the intersection of Perez Boulevard, Mayombo Road and M.H. del Pilar Street.

The second phase of the project will cover the intersection of Dagupan-Binmaley highway, Arco Street and Judge Jose de Venecia Expressway; corner of Zamora Street and Perez Boulevard, in front of University of Pangasinan Phinma, and Nueva Road.

Mayor Fernandez expressed confidence that flow of traffic in the city will further improve with the help of the traffic lights once these are fully synchronized. (CIO/JCB)
