Release of overdue LTO license cards set January 2107

THE long wait for some 15,224 motorists in the province for their plasticized license cards will finally end next month.

This was the assurance made by the Land Transportation Office Lingayen Sub-office.

According to Eric Suriben, LTO Lingayen Sub-Office Manager, scheduled to be released are 7,293 professional driver’s licenses, 3,471 non-professional driver’s licenses, 4,400 students licenses and 60 conductors licenses that were processed from September 4, 2015 to December 16, 2016.

The new applicants for a driver’s license after December 16 will have to continue using the official receipts issued to them until LTO issues another notification for the arrival of new license cards that will be valid for five years.

Suriben also added, that all license cards applied from October 7, 2016 and beyond will be valid until the next five years.

Meanwhile, applicants for renewal of licenses are still required to apply on dates prescribed even if no license cards are still available for them.
