Lucao group wins first ‘DC Got Talent’

THE Five Powers, a singing group from Barangay Lucao, was declared the grand champion in the first’ Dagupan City Got Talent’ held December 16 at the city plaza.

The group received P20,000 cash prize.

Kristoff Labayog of Barangay Herrero-Perez won P15,000 for his solo performance while the 7th Rage of Bolosan, a dance group, settled for second place with P10,000 cash prize. Arielamie Apalis of Barangay Pantal, won P5,000 cash prize for her song.

Fiesta Hermano Mayor Dennis C. Canto launched the contest as part of the activities lined-up for this year’s fiesta celebration to support local talents.

Canto said the contest provided Dagupeños with special and extraordinary talents the opportunity to develop and excel and lead them to bigger competitions outside the city.

The contest was categorized into singing, dancing, extraordinary and musical instrument- playing.

The contestants who did not make it to the top 4 received P500 each as consolation prize.
