1^st Governor’s Cup Inter-Town Basketball Tournament 2016 reels off. Governor Amado “Pogi” I. Espino III (center) holds the ball to signal the ceremonial tip-off during the opening of the 1st Governor’s Cup Inter-Town Basketball Tournament 2016 on December 17 at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center (NRSCC) gymnasium. The event, which was conceptualized by the Governor, a known sports enthusiast, to hone not just the skills of the players but to build their characters, as well. Top performing players will be picked to form Pangasinan Teams 1 and 2, who will represent the province in various national competitions to include the Philippine National Games and other invitational matches. The tournament, which will be conducted until April 22 next year, is participated in by over 500 young cagers from various towns and cities in Pangasinan. (RRB/Romulus Gutierrez)
