NBI INVESTIGATION

THE case of the 22-year-old graduating student from Dagupan City whose body was found dumped at the boundary between Manaoag and Mapandan on July 19 and believed slain by suspected vigilantes, is finally coming to light.

Rowena Tiamson was not a drug user, pusher. Not at all listed as a drug watch list in any town.  She simply made the mistake of associating with a friend whose boyfriend was an alleged top drug personality in Manaoag town.

This was hinted by Norlo Gallang, special investigator of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Dagupan who was assigned to investigate her slaying at the request of the Dagupan City government.

Gallang confirmed earlier reports about Tiamson at the KBP Forum on Thursday.

Tiamson went to school on July 18 to complete the requirement for her graduation and that on the day she left her family home to be with her close friend and the latter’s boyfriend who was set to surrender to the police because he was a drug pusher-user.

The three had since disappeared until Tiamson’s body was found the next day at the boundary of Manaoag and Mapandan while her close friend’s body was found almost at the same time in Laoac and the latter’s boyfriend in Binalonan.

Gallang also confirmed that her friend’s boyfriend was a top 1 drug personality in Manaoag town.

Meanwhile, he said the NBI is also investigating the slaying of Roman Manaois, whose body was found in Lucao, Dagupan City but admitted they had not made any progress on the matter because of some formalities yet to be made. (Leonardo Micua)
