Drug pusher killed in shootout

BINALONAN—A drug personality here was killed in an armed encounter with law enforcers who attempted to serve a search warrant on Thursday, September 1.

Operatives of the Pangasinan police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) was about to serve the search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 54 in Alaminos City against Rommel Flores, 44, in his residence in Barangay Linmansangan, Binalonan when the suspect fired at the team.

Police and PDEA officers fired back at the suspect and hit him in different parts of his body.

The suspect was brought in a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Recovered from the crime scene were one caliber 38 revolver, loaded with three fired cartridges and three live ammunitions for ballistic and cross matching examination.

During the implementation of the search warrant, the team found and seized five pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white substance believed to be “Shabu” and one hand grenade. (Hilda Austria)
