THE Dagupan City Police Station (DCPS) was again cited as Best City Police Station in Region 1 during the 115th Police Service Anniversary held at Camp Florendo in San Fernando City, La Union on September 2.

The award was received P/Superintendent Neil O. Miro, acting chief of the DCPS, during the awarding ceremony presided by Chief PNP Director-General Ronald Dela Rosa.

Barangay Carael Punong Barangay Luzviminda Velasquez was also presented a Certificate of Recognition for having facilitated the most number of drug personalities who surrendered to the police under the PNP’s Anti-Illegal Drugs Campaign Plan (Project Double Barrel or Oplan Tokhang) in the city.

Of the nine cities in Region 1, Dagupan was cited for having the most remarkable accomplishments covering the last fiscal year of 2015.

Miro gave credit to the former DCPS Chief Christopher N. Abrahano for the award as the evaluation was conducted under his watch and commended the men and women of DCPS for maintaining a high level of performance in keeping with their duties and responsibilities.

Miro also credited Dagupan Mayor Belen T. Fernandez for the city’s unrelenting support, logistically and financially, to the station.

The city government provided the DCPS with a number of motorcycles and vehicles in support of its operations, the most recent of which were three patrol cars, on top of provisions for quick response operations. (JCB_CIO)
