Cycle 2 of One TESD Summit held
LINGAYEN- Advocates of the technical- vocational education in Ilocos region gathered for the Cycle 2 of the One Technical Education and Skill Development (TESD) summit held on Wednesday at the Sison Auditorium here.
Regional Director Cenon Querubin of the Technical Education and Skill Development Authority (TESDA)-Region 1 said the activity provided latest information to all technical-vocational stakeholders how to develop skilled workers to be globally competitive.
Querubin said in order to attain the goal for global competitiveness and social equity in relation to TVET, the agency is currently undertaking two-pronged TVET strategies: the barangay skill survey and national technical audit to technical-vocational institutions.
He added, “The answers of the responders in the survey will determine the programs and trainings that will be prioritized and considered by TESDA.” (MBS_PIA-Pangasinan)
