City holds 1ST Inter-Private Badminton tourney
THE Private Schools Principal League (PSPL) in partnership with the Dagupan City Sports Commission (DCSC) organized the “1st Inter-Private Badminton Tournament” last
September 21 at the Divine Word Academy Gym as a qualifying event Division Meet of the Department of Education in October.
Finnela T. Sim of the Dagupan City Sports Commission said the one-day tournament enabled the city to pick the best athletes who will be trained for the Region 1 Athletic Association Meet.
Players from Escuela de Nuestra Señora dela Salette, JCCMI Christian Academy Incorporated, Northfield Academy Incorporated, Lyceum Northwestern Creative Montessori Center and the Divine Word Academy of Dagupan participated.
Dagupan’s second over-all standing (from seventh in 2014) in the last R1AA was attributed to the full support of the Fernandez administration for the athletes’ training. (JCB_CIO)
