A BUY-bust operation by combined operatives of the region’s Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Dagupan City police nabbed not only a suspected drug dealer but ended up arresting six drug users caught having pot session of shabu inside a drug den in Sitio Aling, Arellano Street, Barangay Pantal Wednesday night.

The report from P/Sr. Superintendent Ronald Lee, acting provincial police director, identified those nabbed as Mark Juliuz Mejia, the drug den maintainer and subject of the buy-bust, Darwin Cera and Allan Aquino, both from Mangaldan town, Jayvee Dacanay from Baguio City, Sandy Ocampo from Sitio Aling and Wellie Arzadon, both from Sitio Aling, and Rodel Torio from Bonuan Binloc this city

The police operatives seized from them seven small heat-sealed sachets of shabu.

Meanwhile, Superintendent Neil Miro, acting Dagupan City police chief, said plans are in place to clean and clear Sitio Aling, a known hotbed of illegal drugs.

He said they would install high-resolution closed circuit television camera, implement Oplan Bulabog including no parking of vehicles 24/7 and the freeze-and-secure tactic using ID system among residents.

He added that the police have been conducting close monitoring in the area, including the tactics employed by drug pushers operating in this drug-infested area. (Tita Roces)
