THE annual Universities Colleges Athletic Association of Pangasinan Inter-Collegiate Basketball Tournament is tentatively to commence on August 23 at Dagupan People’s Astrodome.

Four teams have so far confirmed their participation: defending champions LNU Dukes and contenders Calasiao based PCST Topnotch, AIE Green Eagles and come-backing PSU of Lingayen.

This was revealed by Jon Cancino, president of the National Amateur Basketball Referees Organization (NABRO) Pangasinan-Dagupan City Chapter after attending UCAAP’S staff meeting on July 23.

Cancino added that 2005 champion UPang-PHINMA Flames will not likely join the hostilities this year while perennial title contender PIMSAT Dragons will make its decision known next week. (Jesus Garcia Jr.)
